About Your
Health Coach
Shannon Ruth, MPA
Integrative Health Coach
With a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, Exercise Physiology, and certification as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, I bring a unique blend of medical knowledge. My journey in this field is not just professional; it's deeply personal.
For 15 years, I worked as a Physician Assistant, a role that, while fulfilling, brought its own set of challenges. I know what it's like to feel overwhelmed by stress, struggle with weight issues, and suffer from the debilitating effects of IBS. Like many of you, I was tired of feeling tired, constantly battling my symptoms, and not recognizing myself in the mirror.
As a woman, I understand the unique challenges we face in managing our health. As a professional, I'm equipped with the tools and knowledge to guide you through them.

My mission is to help people reduce their IBS symptoms naturally so they regain confidence around food, enjoy life without fear, and feel like themselves again.

My Story
My career as a Physician Assistant, balancing a demanding job with raising two young children, took a toll on my health. I found myself in a cycle of stress, exhaustion, and unhealthy eating, which led to significant weight gain and IBS symptoms that controlled my daily life.
A career shift, which required me to be on call at all hours, further impacted my health, leading to memory issues, concentration difficulties, and depression.
This was a wake-up call for me and I realized the need for a drastic change in my lifestyle.
By using a food-as-medicine approach (taking out the bad stuff, and adding foods to help reduce my IBS), I now know how to fuel my body so I can travel, dine out and socialize without the constantly scanning for the nearest bathroom.
This personal transformation was my catalyst to becoming a certified Integrative Health Coach.
Today, I'm passionate about helping others do the same; reduce their IBS, feel confident around food again, and get back to living their lives without their symptoms holding them back.
